Introduction to KD Philanthropy
KD Philanthropy is a foundation that is committed to giving back to the community. We believe that everyone has the power to make a difference, and we want to help others make a difference in their community. We provide resources and support to individuals and organizations who are working to make a difference in their community. We are a nonprofit organization, and we rely on the support of our community to help us continue our work.
What is KD Philanthropy?
KD Philanthropy is the official philanthropy of Kappa Delta Sorority. Our philanthropy benefits Prevent Child Abuse America and the children they serve. We strive to educate women about the prevalence of child abuse, its effects on children and families, and what they can do to help prevent it. We also support local organizations that work to prevent child abuse and provide services to those affected by it.
What are our goals?
KD Philanthropy is a student-led organization that strives to better our local and global communities through education, fundraising, and service. Our focus is on three main pillars: children’s health and education, women’s empowerment, and environmental sustainability.
Our goal is to provide our members with opportunities to learn about and get involved in local and global philanthropy. We believe that by educating ourselves and others about the issues facing our communities, we can be more effective in our efforts to make a positive impact.
In addition to educational programming, KD Philanthropy also raises money for our partner organizations through various fundraising events throughout the year. 100% of the money raised goes directly to our partners, who are working on the frontlines to make a difference in the lives of those they serve.
Finally, we believe that service is an essential part of philanthropy. Our members have the opportunity to get involved in service projects both on and off campus, lending a helping hand to those who need it most.
Through our education, fundraising, and service efforts, KD Philanthropy strives to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Our History
KD Philanthropy was created in 2001 by our founder, Kevin Durant. Durant, a local businessman, saw a need in the community for a organization that gave back to those in need. Durant started KD Philanthropy with a mission to help those in the community who were less fortunate. KD Philanthropy has grown over the years and has helped countless individuals and families in the community.
How it all started
Our company was founded in 1999 with the goal of giving back to the community. We started by donating a percentage of our profits to local charities and non-profit organizations. In 2003, we formalized our commitment to philanthropy by establishing the KD Philanthropy Fund.
Since then, we have donated millions of dollars to causes that are important to our employees, customers and shareholders. We are proud to support a wide range of organizations, including those that focus on education, health care, the environment and social services.
We believe that giving back is not only the right thing to do, but it is also good for business. By investing in our communities, we create a better world for all of us.
Our journey so far
KD Philanthropy was founded in 2006 by Karen and David Davis. They started the company with a mission to give back to the community and make a difference in the world.
Since then, KD Philanthropy has grown rapidly and has helped hundreds of organizations with their philanthropic goals. We have worked with many different types of organizations, including schools, hospitals, charities, and more. We are proud to have made a difference in the lives of so many people.

The difference we make
Since 1994, the KD family has donated more than $33 million to Canadian charities.
Our focus is on children’s health and wellness, education and the environment. We invest in programs and initiatives that create lasting social change and make a real difference in the lives of kids and families across Canada.
We are proud to support organizations like Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba, Ultima Foods, Breakfast Club of Canada and Free The Children.
Our success stories
In 2019, we donated nearly $1 million dollars to support literacy initiatives in the US and Canada. Our goal is to help make sure that every child has access to the tools they need to succeed in school and in life.
We’ve also partnered with coding education non-profit Code.org to help get more kids interested in computer science. We’ve donated over $5 million dollars to their programs since 2016, and our employees have volunteered their time to teach code in local schools.
