Introduction
The Metal Gear Solid franchise has always been one to give back to the community, whether it be through charitable donations or in-game Easter eggs. Most recently, the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain saw the return of the series’ charitable efforts, with the game’s development team donating a portion of the proceeds to various charities. This article will explore the history of the Metal Gear Solid franchise’s charitable giving, as well as the different charitable organizations that have benefited from the series’ generosity.
What is Metal Gear Solid Philanthropy?
Metal Gear Solid Philanthropy is a fan-made, not-for-profit movie project based on the Metal Gear Solid videogame franchise. The project is 100% fan-funded and created entirely in our spare time. We are not affiliated with Konami or any other companies involved with the Metal Gear Solid franchise.
Metal Gear Solid Philanthropy is a work of love, created by fans for the fans. We are volunteers who have come together from all over the world to make this movie. Our team consists of professional and semi-professional filmmakers, animators, actors, and musicians, all united by our passion for the Metal Gear Solid series.
We believe that everyone deserves to enjoy MGS, regardless of their ability to pay. That’s why we are making our movie available for free. We also believe in giving back to the community that has given us so much. A portion of all donations will be donated to charities chosen by the MGS community.

We are a team of volunteers who have come together to create a fan-made movie based on the Metal Gear Solid video game franchise. Our goal is to raise awareness and funds for various charities, and we are committed to giving back to the community in any way we can.

Money:

Time:
You can donate time by becoming a volunteer on our production team. We are always in need of people with all kinds of skills, from acting and writing to filmmaking and graphic design. If you have a skill that you think would be helpful, please get in touch!
Goods:
You can donate goods by donating items that we need for our productions, such as props, costumes, or food. You can also donate funds to help us purchase these items.

Past Events
In 2018, we held a charity stream for Extra Life, raising over $2000 for Children’s Hospitals! We also donated games and gaming equipment to a local children’s hospital.
In 2019, we held another charity stream for Extra Life, raising over $3000 for Children’s Hospitals! We also donated games and gaming equipment to two local children’s hospitals.
